The source for this small plein air piece (7"h by 5"w) is a short walk from our (new) front door, the "Agua Hedionda Lagoon", as viewed from Harrison Street above. Walking our dogs, Frankie and Matilda through the streets of our new town, I couldn't wait to unload them at home so I could capture it on canvas!
What a restful and welcoming spot. Would love to just sit in the shade of those trees and watch the tide go in and out.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got moved in. I am so jealous. I love Carlsbad, it has always been on the top of my "places to live in CA list". Glad you moved there so I can have an excuse to play hookey from work cause, well, I have to drive down and see your new house and your beach, now don't I!?!
